Partnership with International Associations
On November 22, 2013 the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement received an official notification for an affiliate status of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
Georgia, as a participating country in the Bologna Process from 2005, constantly implements innovations to the educational system, thus, gaining more confidence in the European Higher Education Area. The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, which is responsible for enhancing the quality of education in the country, aims at closer cooperation with international institutions working in the education area and involvement in the international academic network. Nearly 90 European and not only European quality assurance agencies or public structures are members of ENQA. ENQA shares information, experiences and best practice examples of higher education institutions with the member organizations regarding the quality assurance issues. The Association aims at intensifying the European co-operation in the field of quality assurance in higher education. It is a major driving force for development of quality assurance in Europe. The Association contributes significantly to maintain and enhance the quality of European higher education and disseminate information across all the Bologna signatory countries.
Affiliation with ENQA is an important achievement for NCEQE. This is a step forward to integration into the European Higher Education Area. This status will increase the awareness of NCEQE in Europe and enhance the level of confidence to the institution.
